The Little Prince

I remember reading this book when I was very young. Maybe 12 or 14. I didn't understand it much then but I cried towards the end. It really made me appreciate the relationship between the pilot and the little prince.

Yesterday, I can't think of anything better to do. So, I looked around the internet to read about any interesting topic. I commented on pictures, news etc. Then I remember the MJ memorial, one of the part I loved the most was the part where Brooke Shields compaired MJ to the Little Prince. (If I've been there, I would've made the same comparison), but this is no longer about MJ (Although I'll never stop loving him ever!!!). This is about The Little Prince and how he was so beautiful and how he was so pure and how we forget to see the beauty in things.

I loved that despite it's utmost simplicity it managed to be so intricate. It's a magical book that touches the little kid in all of us. We often see things the way "grown up" should see it. The book teaches us about learning to trust and to see the good in people, no matter how unlikely it is to see good in them. That is best seen in the part where that fox is tamed by the little prince. This book teaches us that love makes something or someone special. No matter how common it is, when you love it, when you commit yourself to it, it becomes special to you and you become special to it. Like the little rose in the prince's planet.

Most importantly, the book tells us that despite losing someone, we must always remember the beauty in them.

Call of Duty: Black Ops TV Commercial: "There's A Soldier In All Of Us"

Before anything else, this ad is WOW!

I seriously don't buy any of the "oh-it's-too-violent crap" HELLO!?!

Dear pretentious parents, your kids are actually playing this and not only that they probably see more than enough VIOLENCE on your regular TV programs and here's another surprise they probably know about sex too. *oooh scary*

Anyway this is a super cool commercial
(not only because the man of my dreams Kobe Bryant is in it ♥♥♥ eeeeee! He's sooo hot.) It's a risky concept, it's very creative and admit it. It's NEW.

So please cut the crap.

And just Enjoy it.

Prince William puts a Ring on it!

UK, together with the rest of the world woke up to the sound of millions of hearts breaking. Prince William has put a ring on it!

I'm happy and all but lemme be a girl now, is it me or does she (Kate Middleton) look like a soap opera bad girl? I play for team Harry okay, so it's not like I'm upset over the engagement (and duh!?! I sooo had a chance) plus I'm not a big fan of premature balding (oops)

Maybe I've set such high standards coz "HELLO, HAVE U SEEN PRINCESS DIANA?"

Also this girl seems to be open-mouthed all the time... Quite a princess.

Ok... Now I'm just being jealous of her royal rock. It's the same one Prince Charles gave to Diana and kidding aside it's divine...

Anyway. Seriously. I wish them a lifetime of happiness. And please, never again ruin my fantasies about how a royal marriage should be. Hihi... Go and Live happily ever after.

Yey!!! Can't wait to see her dress...

HOLD MY HAND...

Breaking news... Michael Jackson and Akon collabs in this BEAUTIFUL SONG!!!

Hold My Hand . Official Track release!!!

This song has been in the news since 2008 I guess. This is MJ... I love it. No issue of a ghost singer in this one coz it's Michael Jackson people. I can hear it and feel it.

My fave part was the "AKON and MJ" scream in the beginning. So comeback-y... And he's always here. So, Enjoy! ♥♥♥

Down by Jason Walker

I've been listening to sad songs lately. Emo songs even... It all started with Hurricane by 30 Seconds to Mars

Now, Down by Jason Walker, is playing over and over in my head. It's a real nice song too... Enjoy. (or not whatever) It's a song for people who are confused about their situation. I'm guessing it's more about being stuck in a relationship, being in a circle thinking if it's ever gonna end, waiting for a climax that will never come. It's just a really emotional song and it's good to wallow every once in a while...

Here's the lyrics: (song in the link is the acoustic version)

DOWN
Jason Walker

I don’t know where I’m at
I’m standing at the back
And I’m tired of waiting
Waiting here in line, hoping that I’ll find what I’ve been chasing.

I shot for the sky
I’m stuck on the ground
So why do I try, I know I’m gonna to fall down
I thought I could fly, so why did I drown?
Never know why it’s coming down, down, down.

Not ready to let go
Cause then I'd never know
What I could be missing
But I’m missing way too much
So when do I give up what I’ve been wishing for.

I shot for the sky
I’m stuck on the ground
So why do I try, I know I’m gonna to fall down
I thought I could fly, so why did I drown?
Never know why it’s coming down, down, down.
Oh I am going down, down, down
Can’t find another way around
And I don’t want to hear the sound, of losing what I never found.

I shot for the sky
I’m stuck on the ground
So why do I try, I know I’m gonna to fall down
I thought I could fly, so why did I drown?
I never know why it’s coming down, down, down.

I shot for the sky
I’m stuck on the ground
So why do I try, I know I’m gonna to fall down
I thought I could fly, so why did I drown?
Oh it’s coming down, down, down.

Michael Jackson's Breaking News

There's a hoopla surrounding Michael Jackson's new single (and album) apparently Sony or whoever thought it would be fun to either spread a rumor that it's been modified/enhanced using another singer's vocals or they actually did it.

Personally, as a Michael Jackson fan for more than half my life... I am not in favor of anything coming out AFTER his death. Anything he recorded in the past, he chose to not include in his previous albums because somehow he didn't feel it sounded right or it'll sell or some other reason that only he knows, but, it's happening now. A new album with previously recorded songs will be released and the question is - WOULD I BUY IT? SHOULD I BUY IT?

Honestly, I couldn't care less about this "ghost singer issue" I know MJ wouldn't like it anyway and for me that's not the issue because the bigger deal is that MJ wouldn't agree on anything he didn't hand pick for an album. He's a perfectionist and he's probably rolling over his grave with everything that's been going on since he passed away (e.g his kids being on Oprah (and everywhere), This Is It the movie etc)

BUT...

I will buy it. I will buy this album, because if I don't it'll be a feast for MJ haters to see that MJ is no longer selling, it's annoying to hear news about him and I can only imagine the headlines "MJ'S NEW ALBUM FLOP, KING OF POP FAILED" Argh! I can't stand pleasing those crapholes!!! So for the sake of Michael Jackson. I will buy it. I don't think this will change anything but that's my personal take on things. Whether we like it or not people will translate sales of anything Michael Jackson as an act of support (or lack of) for him and his career. So whatever it is. I'm gonna support it. It's still his voice anyway.

I just hope I can watch the Cirque du Soleil performance, you see THAT is a REAL act of RESPECT. Ta-ta!

My Sunday Date(s)...

It's Sunday night and I'm home alone.

So I welcome into my living room the best dates...

It wouldn't hurt if can actually eat the latter but...

Ciao! LOL!

(photos straight from my camera)

Letting the Pictures talk...

Yeah... Uhmmm...

I'm watching The Vampire Diaries. Judge me. (I also read all of the Twilight books.)

Ok... Keep it coming.

Laugh.

Now!

Paul Wesley is GORGEOUS! Not only the character but have you seen his abs?! Goodness gracious how in the hell is that possible? And it's not make up like... Hmmm... Mr. Pattinson's?

My favorite line so far was in the UNPLEASANTVILLE episode? When Elena asked him to "dance as they do in the 50's" he [Stefan] threw her from side to side lifted her up again, kissed her (argh!) and said "Now remember that, coz that's not gonna happen... again"

Now since it's letting the pictures talk.

Knock yourself out.

Awww... there. Watch it. Ta-ta!

PS

and look he was an angel too. LOL! this guy's never normal.

RIP 0919-815-67**... =(

I never had a thing for flashy phones. I never needed the newest model or the most complicated gadget but I do give so much importance to "sentimental value"...

Yesterday night at 8:54PM. I was at work as usual I checked my Smart Cellphone for the last time. Somebody stole it while it was "safely" kept inside my locker. I keep telling people I've had it for more than 7 years but that's incorrect and I apologize.

Here's the story of my "phone number" that went missing:

On Aug 2005, Me and my boyfriend went to Star City. We've been going out for barely 3 months. We took a ride in one of those scary, twisting rides and my phone fell out my pocket. I wanted to tell the operator to stop the ride but duh! I can't so, I just watched it tumble along the freakishly fast roller coaster (I guess). When the ride ended it's too late. The monitor is broken and the battery is well, inside out.

I freaked out cause it was a phone my dad gave me for my bday. I can't tell them I lost it or broke it. My boyfriend, being the sweetheart that he is told me that we can solve that problem. That very hour we walked out of the theme park and hailed a cab to SM Manila. There we looked for the exact same phone model. It was really embarrassing cause mine was 2nd hand and there he was buying me a brand new cellphone. It wasn't cheap for a spur of the moment gift. It was a Sony Ericsson K700i phone. (Don't laugh it was really cute then...) He bought me a sim card too.

THAT was the sim card that received all his messages... The sweet ones and the not so sweet ones. Gosh, I used to nag him with that # =)... But more importantly that # witnessed a 5-year-relationship grow. It's been my number for 5 years and 2 months... It's not the same phone anymore cause I replaced the unit after 3 years (You know how fragile Sony Ericsson phones are (hehehe) It's the memories that come along with that number.

So as sad as it may be... I have to let go of a classic.

Bye 0919-815-67** I'll never forget you.

Never Say Never?! Seriously? LOL!

This kid never fails to crack me up. A baby barely getting rid of his milk teeth is having a documentary. Need I say more? Funny right? Nothing against this kid but I think too much pressure is put on his shoulders. I’m worried that 1. He might never grow taller. 2. Heck! I don’t need a 2nd reason he’s just a baby let him enjoy his… I’d like to say music? But Is it? Really? Ahaha! Now I'm laughing again!

Watch JBieb pull a "This Is It"

Go ride you bike kiddo!

Thrill the World 2010 MANILA!

It was a rainy Saturday night in Manila.

What do we do?

Hell right! We freakin' THRILL THE WORLD!!!

Thrill The World is a worldwide attempt to break the Largest Simultaneous Dance with Michael Jackson’s “Thriller.” Thousands of people in cities around the world will learn “Thriller,” dance and perform it together on the day that Thrill The World takes place.

Although I wasn't able to join the actual dance, I made sure I was there to cheer for my MJ Family.

When the music started it's very surreal, I'm just so happy that for the 1st time Manila is taking part in this momentous event.

I just wanna say I'm glad that we did it and I'm so proud of you guys. I LOVE YOU! It's all for L.O.V.E! ♥

Above is a picture of MJFC Members dressed to the... well as monsters ahaha!

You can also watch the video of Thrill the World Manila! Peace everyone!

MICHAEL JACKSON IS THE THRILLER INDEED. LOVE!

Lisa Marie Presley Speaks... All about MJ...

So, I didn't get to watch it on TV but gladly so because I was able to find perfectly copied posts on YouTube, minus the commercials!

LMP was a trending topic on Twitter for a while of course and there are all sorts of comments, some hated it, others loved it...

So what team am I in?

I.

LOVED.

IT.

It was honest.

I felt her honesty. There were parts when you can feel like you're hearing stories of a "REGULAR" couple, I mean not super duper mega stars, because there's no more hatred now. She can tell it as it is.

I particularly liked the part where LMP mentioned that MJ is like a gnome around the bedroom, she said that was kind of endearing. Another part was when LMP said that they were still communicating years after the divorce... 4 years on and off. Eee!!!

It was sad when MJ apparently asked LMP if she's still inlove him and when LMP said she was indifferent, then MJ cried.

The entire interview was just raw. Not amateur. It was clean and I can't stress it enough. HONEST. I felt as if this is it. That's what happened.

So, for all of us who appreciate the interview (and I for one is longing to hear LMP's side) THANK YOU VERY MUCH, MISS LISA MARIE PRESLEY... for speaking up. You'll always be Mrs. Jackson to me.

Here's an excerpt of a part I like...
Verbatim

Oprah: Was it the kind of marriage where a lot of things went unsaid or unspoken or did you feel a sense of intimacy and connection that you could ask him anything?

LMP: (deep breath) I honestly can tell you, that it was in every sense a normal marriage and everything was spoken, and in the middle of the night if he needed to wake up and tell me and felt something of me and wake me up and wanna talk of there was trouble or...

Oprah: Was he having trouble sleeping then?

LMP: Yes. He was like a little gnome. I used to tell him that he was like a gnome running around the room coz it was hard for me to sleep, A lot of times I couldn't sleep either if he wasn't sleeping so. I just hear him [piddling?] and it was a bit endearing but then, and I didn't mind it but he did have a hard time sleeping yes...

Make Up Crazy!!!

Anyone who knows me for more than 2 hours know that I'm obsessed about make up and applying them to people. This was fueled by the recent Smashbox make up tool set given by my boyfriend...

I'm now planning to pursue my passion by enrolling in a Make up school but it's freakin' expensive. A 7-session package is 20k not including the make up that I will use, the extra set of brushes and the model's fee. I heard I need 1 mestiza and 1 darker skinned model. Argh!

I will invest in cream make ups too because that's really big nowadays for the eyes.

I'm going gaga over my palette. I even dream about it now! Shazam!!!

This blog is brought to you by my favorite product... M.A.C. ♥ ♥ ♥

BAD OUCHIE!!!

Ouchie in the mouth!!!

Pancake Weekend...

I wanna try this coz, nothing says it's the weekend like a delicious stack of pancakes for breakfast.
*Makes 12

Ingredients

* 2 cups plain flour
* 3 teaspoons baking powder
* 2 tablespoons caster sugar
* 2 1/4 cups buttermilk
* 2 eggs
* 60g butter, melted, cooled
* extra melted butter, for cooking
* lemon wedges and white sugar, to serve

Method

1. Sift flour and baking powder into a bowl. Stir in caster sugar. Use a fork to whisk buttermilk, eggs and butter together until combined. Add to flour mixture. Use a wooden spoon to mix until combined. Cover. Stand for 10 minutes.
2. Heat a small non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Brush base of pan with a little of the extra melted butter. Pour 1/4 cup of batter into pan.
3. Use a spatula to spread pancake out to a circle about 12cm in diameter. Reduce heat to low. Cook for 2 minutes or until bubbles appear on surface and edges begin to dry.
4. Turn pancake over. Cook for a further 2 minutes or until cooked through. Transfer to a clean tea towel. Wrap up to keep warm. Repeat with remaining batter, greasing pan in between each pancake. Serve warm with lemon and sugar.

Notes & tips

* To freeze pancakes, cool, then layer in between sheets of baking paper then wrap in plastic wrap. Store in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 1 month.
* Try stirring 250g strawberries, hulled and diced, through batter in step 1.
* Buttermilk is made by adding bacteria to low-fat or non-fat milk, giving it a thick texture and acidic flavour. It helps make light, tender, golden pancakes.

Twilight Saga's Eclipse (The Movie)

Well.

Let me be honest. (thought I watched it 2x alone and with a friend)

I didn't like Eclipse as much as I liked New Moon the movie. I am not a huge fan of the 3rd book either so I wasn't really expecting a lot. I can't wait to see the next installment. Pls give me a well directed Breaking Dawn! It's best of all the books! Trust me. I'm an authority when it comes to the Twilight series. Ahaha! (Just like the millions who've read all the books) So let's just calm down and be disappointed for a while. Chos! It's not that Eclipse was ugly or anything, I honestly can't blame the director coz it's exactly how the book went. It's a love triangle and I'm not a big fan of that.

What I like though are the fight scenes. Xavier Samuel's acting was good too (Riley Biers) and Jodelle Ferland's role was short and well played.

The part where Jasper is doing his "lecture" to his family and the wolves. Fucking cheesy. Ahaha! It was too Bruce Lee. Ewww!

I totally hate the idea of casting a different Victoria because Rachelle Lefevre is sooo awesome for the role!

So those are what I have to say about Eclipse.

My Dream Vacation

I found this thing I wrote when I was really young. It's so sweet to read about it again.

My Dream Vacation

My dream vacation would be a trip to Disneyland in Anaheim, California with my family. I've always wanted to go and experience the youth of that place. It's a world where everyone becomes a kid, no matter how old you are, you are allowed to play and have fun like a child. I'd take tons of pictures and capture every bit of memory we'll have there.

When I see Disneyland in movies I can't help but smile and hope that I get the chance to dance around with the real Mickey Mouse. We'd ride the Disneyland Railroad and gasp at the beauty of this dreamland. A dream vacation is to eat cotton candies all day as I stroll the lighted park while a colorful balloon is tied to one of my fingers. We will watch the parade where we will see the Disney Princesses, whom I've always loved as a kid. I'd see their ball gowns and I remember every single storybook I've read of them. Then as the day is about to end I'd seat side by side with my mom and dad as we gather in the grass or pavement or whatever Disney ground is made of, then we'd watch the Disneyland Fireworks from Sleeping Beauty Castle, and if we're very lucky, there'd be an appearance by Peter Pan and Tinkerbell... It would be like Neverland. I wouldn't care about the time or whether I have school tomorrow because as they say when you enter the gates: "Here you leave Today and enter the world of Tomorrow, Yesterday and Fantasy".

About Me

My photo
"I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best" -ME channeling the Icon Marilyn Monroe
