Eric Dane


While I do not have a bloggable material to write I want to announce that... I'm so inlove with McSteamy. Eric "Hotness" Dane. I think I only watched Grey's Anatomy because he is so freakishly handsome and have you seen the jaw dropping, sweat popping, *bleeping* towel scene? I mean is that a nice body or what? Nice is a grave understatement though, Great guy... Whenever I see him I kinda feel bad that shirts has been invented. Haha! Drooling...ö

Tuesdays with Morrie

Lemme, take a break from reading Eclipse.(not loving it BTW. Hmp!)

I just finished Tuesdays with Morrie early Wednesday morning and I want to take a moment to absorb the beauty and simplicity of it's story. If you're one of the many people who've laughed and cried reading this book I know you'd understand my urge to write a little review about it. If you haven't please go and get a copy, it's unbelievably cheap and it's worth a thousand times more than it costs.

The story is short and simple but not plain, it has very well achieved it's purpose of being "readable" even for people who aren't fond of reading. It is dissected in short sequences, I find it beautiful that in such brief stories [of how every Tuesday was like] I'm taken so far into every scenario. The room where Morrie is for example is described with perhaps only with a dozen words but it comes out so vivid almost tangible to the reader.

It's perfect how Albom gives us a break from some chapters by injecting anecdotes and quotations after some "scenes". I personally think he wanted to give his readers some time to compose themselves after probably sobbing for minutes, also to show some history between him and his professor without swaying out from the actual story.

The story is well written and it does not give you that unwanted feeling of running to a thesaurus after reading every other word. Albom wants you to focus on the story rather than dazzle you with an array of weird looking 15-letter words. He's confident that the amazing-ness of these real time events is more than enough to capture the readers. And he is right.

This book gave me a whole new appreciation to what used to be trivial things.Ü

P.S: I cried my heart out!

Twilight Book 1

Exhibit A: How can you not love that guy up there huh?! How? Read.

Hi,

Like promised this is a sort a comment-slash-sorta-review on the book "Twilight". Seriously I didn't know how big this book is till I went to MOA (Mall of Asia) and looked for it myself. I mean my goshness did we work our calves looking for an available copy of books 3-4! If you're looking and you can't find it go visit Fully Booked it costs 30+ pesos more there but what the heck you'll sure to find it.

I always say this, but if you've read the LOTR series or Coehlo, Grisham (O.A) books please don't expect the same literature from this series to be anywhere close to that of the first ones. This is not as cerebral. And you'll love it.

1-3 chapters into this book you might feel like you're just dragging your eyes into finishing every sentence but if you'll just give it a chance you'll actually enjoy it, so my first tip? Read on...

The main characters are Edward and Bella. Edward is a super natural being not to mention hot, beautiful, sexy oh-so-yummy vampire who falls inlove with the girl from Phoenix, Bella. The life of this book is in the romance. The lines are just mushy boardering to cheesy, but don't be surprised if you see yourself jumping up and down in your bed because you're probably enjoying it and surely imagining Edward saying these lines to you. I know I did. Haha! You're asking why this book sells like pancakes? Let's see, Let's?

Mushy lines + super fine descriptions of how Edward smiles to Bella + Bella being simple like most of us (making it easy for teenage girls to relate)= craziness!

Nice one ey!

If you're still on this first book and planning to get the rest of the batch, my second tip is, enjoy it first... Don't cheat jumping off pages thinking the sweetness is killing you already, read it, taste it. The rest may not give you as much of this as you want.

This book has a fatal side effect though. Just like tons of young ladies all around the world you may develop a huge crush on Edward Cullen, that's okay, because he is way up there in my crush-a-meter as o' the moment. (wow, high school term), just don't go licking the pages like my friend Pipou does. Ahaha!

I heard someone commenting that Twilight is "Sweet Valley High meets Anne Rice" and I say exactamente!!! I just love it... Love it, Love it, love the cover, love the story. Really!

Anyhoo... I heard this sort-of-song yesterday while I'm TRYING to put myself to sleep, and surprisingly it brought back some fond memories, the days when I had nothing to do but read Teen People and Seventeen magazine, looking at the newest "in" shoes or hairstyle, hehehe, but really, I think I was around 17 when this song/story came out, and life was easy man! I didn't have to do anything but lay around and watch t.v. and this has some serious messages also! Love it!

Ladies and Gentlemen of the class of '97... wear sunscreen.

If I could offer you only one tip for the future, sunscreen would be IT.

The long term benefits of sunscreen have been proved by scientists whereas the rest of my advice has no basis more reliable than my own meandering experience.

I will dispense this advice now.

Enjoy the power and beauty of your youth. Never mind. You will not understand the power and beauty of your youth until they have faded. But trust me, in 20 years you'll look back at photos of yourself and recall in a way you can't grasp now how much possibility lay before you and how fabulous you really looked.

You are NOT as fat as you imagine.

Don't worry about the future; or worry, but know that worrying is as effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing bubblegum. The real troubles in your life are apt to be things that never crossed your worried mind; the kind that blindside you at 4pm on some idle Tuesday.

Do one thing every day that scares you.

Sing.

Don't be reckless with other people's hearts, don't put up with people who are reckless with yours.

Floss.

Don't waste your time on jealousy; sometimes you're ahead, sometimes you're behind. The race is long, and in the end, it's only with yourself.

Remember compliments you receive, forget the insults; if you succeed in doing this, tell me how.

Keep your old love letters, throw away your old bank statements.

Stretch.

Don't feel guilty if you don't know what you want to do with your life. The most interesting people I know didn't know at 22 what they wanted to do with their lives, some of the most interesting 40 year olds I know still don't.

Get plenty of calcium.

Be kind to your knees, you'll miss them when they're gone.

Maybe you'll marry, maybe you won't, maybe you'll have children, maybe you won't, maybe you'll divorce at 40, maybe you'll dance the funky chicken on your 75th wedding anniversary. Whatever you do, don't congratulate yourself too much or berate yourself, either. Your choices are half chance, so are everybody else's. Enjoy your body, use it every way you can. Don't be afraid of it, or what other people think of it, it's the greatest instrument you'll ever own.

Dance. Even if you have nowhere to do it but in your own living room.

Read the directions, even if you don't follow them.

Do NOT read beauty magazines, they will only make you feel ugly.

Get to know your parents, you never know when they'll be gone for good.

Be nice to your siblings; they are your best link to your past and the people most likely to stick with you in the future.

Understand that friends come and go, but for the precious few you should hold on. Work hard to bridge the gaps in geography in lifestyle because the older you get, the more you need the people you knew when you were young.

Live in New York City once, but leave before it makes you hard; live in Northern California once, but leave before it makes you soft.

Travel.

Accept certain inalienable truths, prices will rise, politicians will philander, you too will get old, and when you do you'll fantasize that when you were young prices were reasonable, politicians were noble and children respected their elders.

Respect your elders.

Don't expect anyone else to support you. Maybe you have a trust fund, maybe you'll have a wealthy spouse; but you never know when either one might run out.

Don't mess too much with your hair, or by the time you're 40, it will look 85.

Be careful whose advice you buy, but, be patient with those who supply it. Advice is a form of nostalgia, dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

But trust me on the sunscreen.

I came across this website claiming that they can tell me what the meaning of my name is, so I tried it and this is the super spooky meaning of my name. They really got my personality in here. A friend jokingly disputes the charming part though, Ü (I personally kind-of-don't-agree with the "aggressive"thing) but the rest is so me.

I'm not moving, I'm not being productive. I'm being perfectly still. I'm never a risk taker, risk takers (most of the time lang) are people who know that whatever happens they're going to be fine, maybe they came from a well to do family na money is not a problem o talagang mga vagabond lang.Ü.

Sure there are times I hope for more, but that's as far as I go, I hope and I envision myself owning or becoming someone then I stop there. Instead of using that as a motivation I just keep it in my head, because honestly, (to me) it's better when it stays there (less effort, less disappointments). You don't lose what you have but you can still keep the dream (maybe do it later). Usually we say contentment is good? Not in my case, it becomes a rock holding me down not allowing me to achieve what I deserve.

So what am I saying? Basically? that I crave for the excitement and the deadlines and the fear of being late because you're 2 minutes from making it and you work twice as hard to make it on time. I WANT TO BE BUSY. I want to have 3 hours of sleep and I want to not eat on time because I'm working on a project. I want to not be available next Saturday. If someone asks me what I'm doing this weekend, I want to look at my organizer and see a list and if someone asks me to meet them I want to think hard on what day and what time I'll be free.'

Adrenalin rush ba-ga! Boring!
