Screw Driver and Rum Coke

Hi Ho!!!

For almost 3 days now I have been craving for my 2 favorite drinks, "screw freakin' driver" and MY Rum Coke. (just saying it makes my mouth wo-ter... addict) I just love these drinks, Me and my boyfriend are set for our one-on-one (translation: drinking session, that's our weird thing we drink like buddies.ü) already, maybe we'll even see you, somewhere in QC? My SD and RC will be present of course...

I do my Screw Driver the kamikaze way, but I still prefer to call it SD. Here's how it's done:

Juice 4 large oranges and 1 large lemon [large is the size of a common ponkan] (or 2 med sized lems)

Mix it with 12 ounce of pure vodka [your choice] then keep it in the freezer for 30-45 mins stir every 15 min just to crush the ice. Then yum!

Best pulutan for this? I'd say Olives or Pickles.

For the RUM Coke

Half fill an 8 ounce glass (I say 8 oz because I use the McDonald Olympic thingy hehe, that's 8 oz...) with coke, add 2 shots (that's about 3-5 tbs) of good ol' poor men's rum Tanduay then top it up with approx. 1 tbs Lime Juice (yep the green one)

And. No! you can't mix all of the ingredients before hand, I'm telling you it'll taste like fart. So be patient. O-K?

Best Pulutan? Anything but I always do this with Adobong atay ng manok or Inihaw na Tahong.

Yes! Whew... Writing it down did not help one bit. I'll see you in 1 week! 1 week!

Ciao!

Girl Crushes...

Whoever said we can't have a girl crush?! Well I have... Here are some. Enjoy! *wink

Laetitia Casta... How? Just how can you have curves in all the right places? (Looking up right now, "Good job sir!")

Next... (she's got this nasty freckled skin... but face-wise she's a looker!) LL (like moi)

Nice! I think she's pretty, she's kinda doing a gurl right now anyway so I can crush on her.ü

Thank ya'll! Ciao!

Smoker, Shmo-ker!

Hi I'm Lea, and I'm a recovering chain smoker.ü.

I badly wanted to give you the typical horror stories about quitting, but I really don't have any, sure I feel very, very slightly tempted every once and a while but it's nothing that I can't handle. It was rather easy. Hmmm... Maybe, it's because I've been wanting (dying) to quit the freakin' habit for so long now. I think - as stupid as it may sound, more than anything I just got tired of getting back at it after 1-2 weeks, and it feels good to be committed. I like the feeling of taking over and making the decision for myself.

My parents sure are very happy. Neither of them smoke, and I used to monopolize the vices for my entire family. Hehe... Bad Lea! (Whip!) But every bad thing ( I wanted to say good...) has to end. Smoking sucks. Come to think of it, it really does.

So after 11 long years, 6 Failed attempts and
inestimable sticks of Marlboro Red, Gold and Greens, Finally!!! I'm nicotine free since June 2008.

Don't I get a pat on the back for that?

Breaking Dawn

Before I forget how very happy I am after reading Breaking Dawn, I'll write about it na.Ü...

This is a book which will make you forget how bored you were reading the 2nd book[New Moon] and (some parts) of the 3rd book [Eclipse]. (BTW, i think I just got bored because Edward wasn't present in most of Book 2, hihi) I think S. Meyer saved all her kilig factors, action and excitement for this last book. Todo na to kumbaga.

Breaking dawn is divided into 3 parts but stayed true to the simple and lite story telling we've had in the previous installments.

1st the wedding and honeymoon period of Edward and Bella. The wedding is über nice, you'll definitely get one of the first (out of the many) sigh moments you'll have while reading this book, the place is well described. The atmosphere of pure happiness is super felt. I can almost see the flowers and the arrangement of the guests. As in really! Hehe. Thumbs up! Then what comes after the wedding? If you've been reading Eclipse, they came to a funny compromise in there right?! About the doing the right thing blah blah blah! The Honeymoon ey?! What we've all been waiting for, my friend Pipou and I have been laughing non stop in Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf one morning talking about how Edward and Bella will do "it"(among others, nyahaha), baket ba?! Haha! Freaks kame we know! But when it finally happened, it's so pretty, tastefully done ika nga, none of those super vivid descriptions in small time pocketbooks *wink* Then the twist. Early for a twist no? But this book is filled with beautiful twists, you'll love everything in the end so don't worry!

The 2nd part and BTW I'm like Guilty, I thought this part will be boring, non important you know, but it did a good thing for the story. This is a small part as told by Jacob. I think it was really necessary... Promise... And for those (like myself) who hated Jacob, you'll love him in this book... Really... Hunt me down if you don't.

Then the 3rd and the most exciting part... Where Bella comes back to tell her side of the story... Really cool! My most favorite *wink* are the latter parts of the book when the Volturi comes for "justice", the climax ba-ga, super ganda, also so dramatic and vivid that really you'll be on edge of your seat the entire time. The lines are a lot better in this book, more intelligently writen. There are new characters who will not be around for more than 3-4 pages but they will prove to be vital in helping shape the brilliance of the chapter they are in.

You will love the ending. I did. You won't get disappointed. I'm even looking forward to more pages after I finished instead of feeling relieved that you got through a 750+ pager... I just love it to the max.

Ta-ta!
